Some of you may know this already, some may have guessed. The Adelines is over.

Thank you to everyone who ever came to a show, bought our music, played our songs. We had a great time while it lasted but unfortunately it wasn’t to be.

Here are some songs we recorded in September which it seemed a shame to keep hidden away. You can download them for free.

Anton is now playing with Why We Love and Ray with Tree Of Wolves. We’ll let you know about any other future projects.

'Alleyways' is released!

Today is the day! You can now go get a copy of ‘Alleyways’ for your very own!

'Alleyways' is now available for download on iTunes or you can buy one of the limited edition cassettes from the Kissability store!

Here’s some of the lovely things people have been saying about it already:

"A bittersweet paean to reverb and teenage summers that manages to sound, above all, thoroughly current." -the 405

"Jennie Morris’s honeyed, alluring vocals are undoubtedly the star here. They forge a path through rich and melodic guitar lines that drift by and create a wistful and romanticised sense of yearning that never really comes to the forefront, but instead bubbles just under the surface." - GoldFlakePaint

"Welsh purveyors of perfect indie pop" - Ruth Barnes, Amazing Radio

"Well, y’know, it doesn’t really get much better than that. that was absolutely gorgeous" - Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales

We’ve also been named Artist of the Week on Amazing Radio by Bethan Elfyn. You can listen to an interview Jennie did for them here

You can also watch the official music video here!

Have a great day!

The Adelines are a guitar-driven quartet comprising Jennie Morris on vocals and guitar, Anton Dodwell on guitar, Eddie Russell on bass and Ray Thomas on drums. Formed in 2011 and named after their next door neighbour's cat, they cut their teeth playing house parties in Swansea and pricked ears with their tom-boyish vocals, jangly reverb-guitars and warped pop sensibilities.

Their sunshine-drenched songs paint an intimate portrait of coming of age and late night dalliances, combining pop choruses with resonant wall-of-sound guitars and bittersweet lyrics that walk a tightrope between naiveté and spirited frankness. Favourable comparisons have been made variously to Juliana Hatfield, The Vaccines and Throwing Muses - though the band state that they draw their influences "from life".
